ABOUT

For over twenty years, Sarah Dove has been the principal of an independent paper studio years servicing museums, cultural institutions and private collectors throughout New England.  She is responsible for the care and treatment of rare and unique materials, specializing in works of art on paper.  It has been her experience that much of the art work in the private sector has suffered improper handling and storage often resulting in extreme physical damage.  With a solid background in carrying out challenging treatments during her positions as the map conservator at Yale University’s Sterling Memorial Library and her internships and Fellowships at Yale’s Center for British Art and the Cooper-Hewitt Museum, she has welcomed difficult to treat objects.  She has lectured on the conservation and care and handling of art on paper, trained numerous pre-program interns and worked collaboratively with other conservators.
